Bitcoin and the Crypto Space: An Overview

According to Investopedia, bitcoin reached an all-time high price of $67,566.83 on Nov. 8, 2021⁶.

As of today, bitcoin is trading at about $60,301, which is 89.2% of its peak value. This means that bitcoin is $7,265.83 or 10.8% away from its all-time high.

Bitcoin has been gaining momentum in recent weeks, breaking $63,000 yesterday and hitting new all-time highs in dozens of countries¹.

Some analysts believe that the approval of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) indexed to bitcoin by the US securities regulators has boosted the demand and confidence for the cryptocurrency⁴⁵.
